A wonderful article is about the reality of relationships. Of course, we want to put our best foot forward in the courtship and it is nice to keep on top of appearances during a relationship. That said, the reality is we all have stinky morning breath, look like hell sometimes, and just get blindsided by life.
A true romantic partner, IMHO, is one that loves all the humanness you have to offer despite all the unpleasantness of being a human. It's like saying, you get all of me - farts and all.
I, for one, love all the grossness. When my partner is gross, I know she can trust me to see her as she really is. She feels safe and knows I would make fun of her because I have some Hallmark warped sense of life, love, and romance.
