Hey! I wanted to come back to this and share my baby steps journey to weight loss. I'm down 30 lbs over 1.5 years. Of course I have another 20 to go but I started with just walking. I had to reverse the weight gain because, just like you, I was pre-diabetic and my family has the usual heart issues. My blood pressure crept up as well as my cholesterol.
How did I slowly lose those pounds? I just started walking. I started with 1 mile a day, then I start 2 miles. Sometimes I do 6 miles now (I'm not trying to show off), but I try to do at least 10 miles a week, more if I can.
What I noticed after a few months was more creative energy, better mood, and weight coming off slowly. I then quit drinking beer and the weight came off faster.
It was all baby steps for me and I just built on very small successes. I know how hard this can be but we're all rooting for you and remember it's ok to have a setback, just keep going forward. I know you can do it.
