I have a ton of stories to share like this to share but it would be best over in person one day and not a public forum like the Internet. I've been part of organizations as you described and seen them blown up and talent get up and leave.

I'm lucky to be at a company now that's very diverse and very partnership-driven. We fail forward and fail fast, there is only a drive to do better and support one another. Ironically, I am in the sales group but that is a story for another time.

I'm very hopeful these days, there is a structural change occurring and we're just starting to see surface changes. It started with Gen X (I'm one) and the Millennials are the support structure. I believe Gen Z will be the ones to usher in something new, but the question remains what will it be?
