I love this analogy. I've been in relationships were it was explosive sex right out of the gate and no sex for the length of the relationship.

I can only speak for myself, I need to have an emotional connection with someone before I can engage in that level of intimacy. I can't do sex just for sex. I've done that and it messes too much with me. When I met my partner we decided to hold off for a few months to do our courtship, build a connection, and really get to know one another.

I'm aware what worked for us won't work for everyone, but I DO know that calling my partner a cow would end my life. LOL.
