I see so many relationships that talk 'lip' about being supportive and there for each other but instead it ends up being this destructive competition/zero sum game. The solid relationships are the ones where the partners support each other, learn to grow and not tear each other down.
It's like a garden, at the beginnig when you first get together you have to find that metaphoric fertile ground, till the soil, put in the effort. Then you sow the seeds (love) and then nurture the new growth. You and your partner(s) decide what to plant and what to grow. The harvest part is the best!
