Let me start by saying I completely understand this. Before I started writing on Medium I deleted my entire Flickr archive. It was years of work from 2005 till about 2020.
I now realize that it destroyed a timeline that I should've kept intact. Why? because it showed my growth as a photographer. I got too overwhelmed with jackasses and said "Fuck it." I now realize that it was a mistake, I shouldn't have let them get to me.
It takes tremendous courage and bravery for you bare yourself to the world as you do, to self-examine yourself, your sexuality, all the important things that need to get out of your head and into an image.
I, for one, appreciate your work and want to tell you, don't let the jackasses get you down. If that means unpublishing or putting things back into draft then do that, but never hide yourself or your self-exploration.
I am honored that you share this with all of us and realize what a precious gift you are giving. Thank you.
