I’m a hacker, data scientist, writer, and passive income enthusiast. I’ve made a living being a tinkerer and I love every moment of it.
I’m the luckiest person alive because I get to wake up, write in the mornings, and then go to work at the best Startup ever.
I want to write good quality content but I also view making money here as a game.
So why do I want to start a Medium Income Experiment? For two simple reasons.
One, I want to see if can get lightning to strike twice (I became a data scientist after 20 years of being a civil engineer), and…
Two, I want to see if I can exploit the engagement algorithm and turn my $50 a month Medium income into $5,000 a month.
Ok, there’s a third reason… I want to raise money for Movember, a charity for men’s health. I’ll donate my Medium earnings for the month of November to them.
Why? Because many awesome writers that I follow are lamenting that they’re seeing their earnings drop. Some make a living off of Medium and are threatening to boycott the platform because it’s no longer high quality and I get that.
