My father died a week ago. We knew it would be coming over the next few years but this was unexpected. He went to sleep and never woke up. I never got to have another chat with him, we just had a quick call the day before.

We all know that these rituals of departures are coming, some faster than other, and I really don't want to be in this position but I am. We all are at some point in our life. To be in the middle of this web of life, at this time, is so bittersweet. We are called upon the stage of life for this part and no matter how hard it is, we must perform our part.

But damn does it suck. Just tell him you love him. Tell all the people in your life that you love them and play your part. I'm rooting for you.
