This is how I am with my partner. We are committed to each other in a monogamous relationship but we have our own friends and activities outside of the relationship. This is kinda polyamorous, we get our needs for connection satisfied outside of the marriage.

I would never enter into an emotional or sexual relationship outside of our agreed boundaries and neither would she, but we can't be everything to each other. It doesn't work that way.

We strive to maximize our happiness with each other as well as by ourselves with friends and colleagues. This has been amazingly successful in our relationship and keeps us together.
