This is what I'm afraid of. I fear we already are in the feedback loop, especially after I read that insect populations have been collapsing.
While some people think it's a good thing to get rid of the pesky insects because they get bothered during a BBQ cookout, it's the biggest threat to our existence. Rachel Carson wrote about it in her masterpiece, "A Silence Spring".
While I support mobilizing a billion volunteers and voting in governments to enact climate change policies, I think it will be a little too late. The prudent approach, IMHO, is to continue the fight to restore our environment and climate BUT also plan for the worst-case scenario.
